Has Time Ran Out For Lawrence Frank?

There are plenty of questions to answer in New Jersey in this post Jason Kidd era....

And probably the first is, what to do about head coach Lawrence Frank. Does Rod Thorn bring him back? Or is it time to move on?

Here's one point of view: http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=7808

    What's yours?

Has time ran out for Frank?

I'm thinking Vince Carter will be traded by the deadline in February as he has many years left.

No he's 100% safe for now is my guess.

You either fire your coach immediatley afetr the season ends so you can have a new coach in place for the draft and shaping your team over the summer or you wait until during the season when a coaching change gains you maximum brownie points with fans etc.

You don't waste the chance to "balme" all the problems when your team has lost 10 of 12 games in Dec on the coach by firing him. You don't waste the chance to appease fans screaming for blood when your first round draft pick is grabbing 2 rpg or your "star" is moping on the bench with a hangnail. You want to be able to fire the coach and say hey look I did SOMETHING.

Will Frank survive the year? Probably will he be there the year after ..that's yet to be seen. As subs mentioned Carter will likley be gone. Jeffeson is gone and Kidd is gone. If he can get some performance out of this new group he's probaly due for an extension.

I think Frank will be fine. Wait until y'all get a good, long look at Devin Harris. Of course, Yi Jianlian is not much of a player, but Vince and Devin will be fantastic together.

That is until Carter realizes that this team as currently constructed is a long way from doing anything and decides tpo tank it again in hopes of getting traded to a another team. I like Hrris. I think he will have a good career but at this stage he's a lot more shot hungry and less of a creator than Kidd and that means fvewer shots and gimmes for Vince. If Vince isn't getting spoonfed you can be sure he's not going to make up for it with his instense defense .

He had a pretty solid rookie year. He is only 20 years old and pretty talented.
