This argument is useless if the Warriors don't make the playoffs, but when you consider what the Warriors had to deal with this season, I do really believe Nellie should be a candidate for the Coach of the Year Award. The Warriors haven't gotten any recognition (even though they Baron should've been on the All-Star team), so if Nellie pulls off a playoff berth, shouldn't he win this?

even as a warriors fan i would be appalled if nelson got coy. maybe once he can:

•  succeed in the playoffs
•  overcome his allergies to defense
• figure out how to use the other 5 or 6 guys on the team and stop relying on a 7 or 8 man rotation
• play young players and play big players not named chris webber
• stop playing his little mind games with his players and fans
• either get the team to stop taking so many crazy 3s or get them to make them

youre right, the warriors havent got the recognition they deserve and baron shouldve been an all-star (still sore about that), but they are a playoff caliber team, nellie or no nellieball.
