    Ironman

Just saw Ironman and I liked it a lot. Significantly better than I expected and I definitely recommend it.

It starts a bit slow but it is as good a superhero film as has been made. I'd vote for a sequel today. It earned it.

I completely agree with you.  I also think it benefited somewhat from my not having many preconceived notions about Tony Stark/Iron Man.  There were no elements of his character that I contested.

It bears mentioning that Robert Downey Jr. was the only actor remotely suited for the role.  Anybody else would have been an unequivocal disaster.

George Cloony might've played a good role, but anyways I didnt like the fact they strayed from the original story (Captured by the Mandarin) and decided to throw in a political view ( Afghanistan) I'd rather they stick to the original story but overall i liked it

    George Clooney would have sucked.

He sucked as batman, and he would have been just as bad as Iron man.

Yeah, I stayed for that. It was cool, but my girlfriend was wondering what the fuss was all about waiting for that line.

    or the other Avengers

Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black  Panther, Giant Man, Wasp, Black Widow ?

    Re: Ironman

I'm not convinced an Avengers movie can work. There's too much firepower without enough background. Maybe it could be done after all the individual stories have been told and they have to be told well. Iron man and Cap is a start, but what about the rest?

Besides, how can you do and Avenger movie without Wonder Man? Haha. Wonder Man was always a weak link.

The Hulk was just a footnote in Avenger history.  The Hulk was better as a Defender. I sure hope the new Hulk movie erases the train wreck that the first was.

Actually, and angry and out of control Hulk would make a good villain for the Avengers to stop.

I don't think you have to really know everybody that well, to have a good story.

I don't care if some of them get short shrift. Tell it from the POV Of one of the characters, not necessarily really as an ensemble piece.

Superheroes work works much better as a single POV. For example, we don't have to see what Vision's life is like or even his origin, we only have to know that from Iron Man's standpoint, Vision's kinda creepy or whatever, but a good teammate, and has cool powers, and Tony is curious what it would be alike to take him apart.

I thought it was good movie. Really enjoyed it. Left it open for a second film and a tie into the avengers movie.

the one like the animated series with Hank Pym, Captain America, Thor, The hulk, Wasp, Black Panther, Black Widow ?

the comic book version, Spider Woman, War  Machine, Hawk Eye, Scarlet Witch,

    or the original 4 of

    Re: Ironman

who could they actually put it?

    Captain America ... outdated soldier.

    Thor .. too mythical.

Hulk .. too many movies already.

I just don't see alot of the characters in the Avengers being that "realistic" in today's society.  Bring in Spidey for a cameo?  Black Panther could work ...

Why the heck it he playing Nick Fury?  The guy hasn't been in a movie for more than 3 months?  DAYUM, mofo, dayum.

Well they're going to have War Machine in II.

They aren't set to do the Avengers movie until 2011, so I think Iron Man 2 will transition into the Avengers movie.

I wonder if the new Hulk movie will have Nick Fury too at the end.  lol

Edward Norton and Robert Downey Jr.

I don't think it's too PC these days to let a character called "War Machine" be a hero in mainstream movies. They'll change the name.

I think more of these superhero movies need to stop being as realistic and just go with cosmic badguys from 3rd dimensions.  They try to keep them too realistic and it takes away from the comic book ***.  Like they should have some kind of god from another planet with lightning bolts and crap like that.

I agree, i wanted to see the real story of ironman , not some political crap  twist about terrorists.  Seeing some hot asian chick playing the Mandarin daughter would've upped the movie value.

Apparently there is a scene in The Incredible Hulk that was cut . It was when Banner traveled to the Artic and there he meets Catptain America. It will be on the DVD when it comes out.
