How about this nugget courtesy of the bird-whisperer:

The Timberwolves, who have the Nos. 31 and 34 picks in June's NBA draft, have had five front-office officials scouting in Europe since the end of the regular season, and it's a good bet that at least one, or both picks, could be used on overseas prospects.

I don't have good faith that the Timberwolves will be successful doing such a thing.

Speaking of that, what ever happened to overseas second round pick Loukas Mavrolukadaciousis?  (note: his name may be spelled wrong)
 

Isn't he playing in Greece or something.  I think they retain rights for like 5 years.

This forum will pick up steam as soon as the lottery hits. But I agree, don't let this die, since it is nice to just focus on the Wolves and not on a bunch of BS.

If i was in the cities i would prolly be at NBA City Watching the draft. Im hoping they have Hoiberg at the draft or Jefferson representing us. I just read that Wade was going to be there for the Heat.

I am still there, but I don't post as nearly as much. This board is still cool, and there is less BS going on. On top of that, the people that DO post here are all friendly and cordial to each other.

Give this one time, DFC. Things are dead all over, on many boards - after all, the Wolves as a team are basically in hibernation now. And if this board is quieter, at least it's quieter for all the right reasons. Besides, Stephen writes great stuff, this site has more basketball related news, etc. It's a step up no matter how you look at it.

I finish teaching my summer class on Friday - then it's rock n' roll all night, balling every day, June to August baby! Hey, I'm 6'2" - even if I can't jump, I can still block shots! WOO HOO!

About that guy: my understanding is that he's in good health, and still playing, he's just miles away from being NBA ready. Another brilliant pick from the front office that brought us Ebi (who, by the way, is some kind of basketball god in Israel now - WTH?)
