    Flip Saunders fired

Supposedly Michael Curry is to replace him.

My question is: what has Michael Curry done to prove to Dumars that he can even be a head coach, let alone a better coach than Flip?

I think it's time to hire Laimbeer.

Avery might be a good fit. I agree though, Laimbeer might be a great move

I'd support A. Johnson.  I'd support Van Gundy too.

Laimbeer worries me, but maybe I'm wrong.

Curry...maybe.  Don't know.  Got to rely on Dumars here.

I'm just happy he realizes what he should have realized last year - it's time to break up the core four players somewhat.  That will help.  I hope Rasheed is one of them.  Time to move on from him.

Avery Johnson is mediocre at best, I don't like Van Gundy the least bit. I think Curry is official now though right?

You see Dumars' press conference? They asked him if he was going to make some major changes and he immediately replied, "damn right."

My cousin keeps telling me he's trying to trade for Elton Brand and sign Gilbert Arenas but I haven't heard those rumors anywhere else.

I don't really care who the coach is.  I'll leave it to Dumars.  If it's Curry, so be it.  Who else is out there.  There's only a few elite coaches.  The rest...throw them in a pot.

I saw Dumars being interviewed privately by channel 4.  He said about the players: I've seen enough.  There's nothing else to talk about.  I've seen enough.

Thank you.  It was evident a year ago, but better late than never.  On the bright side, keeping them together allowed Stuckey to get some good playoff experience.

He's going to look to move Wallace first.  I'd say Prince/Billups next, then Hamilton.  Even if he only moves Wallace I'd be happy...but I think Prince or Billups may go too if he gets value for them.

Prince was complete junk in the ECF finals...again.  Very weak.

I think it's way too early to know who he's trying to get.  He's told the league everyone but Stuckey is on the table, so start making offers.

As I watch the Lakers get killed, it just upsets me even more that these lazy a$$ Pistons chose not to compete in game 3 and the 4th quarter of game 6.

Clean the house Dumars.  Clean the house.  I'm sick of it.  Prince and Wallace I hope.  Done with Prince and his inability to hit a shot in the ECF.

Why clean house since the cause of it all in Flip is now gone right? I know you guys are not syaing this but many others are. As for Curry or anyone else as coach while I can understand hiring the coach before the draft I really hope that Dumars has a darn clear idea of what this team will look like and the direction that its going for Curry's sake. Too many teams hire coaches with the intent that the coach will somehow change the team when really what they need is a cocah that fits what the team needs. If you are going to hire a younger former player who has no head cocahing experience to me this signals a "rebuild" of sorts. That expections in terms of w/l and playoofs for the next 2-3 years are more about rebilding and development becuase that's likley what Curry is good at.

I'm more than pleased they didn't hire Bill L becuase I simply don't see him as a sucessful NBA coach. He's never even been an NBA assistant. His entire career he professed to "not love basketball" only the competion. I don't see how coaching like 30 women's basketball games a year for a couple years quilifies him to coach 82 plus NBA games a year.

Yeah, RaWeed Wallace and the crew had nothing to do with the miserable showing in the playoffs.  Now the Pistons think someone actually wants a group of players that are aging and have a clearly declining skill level.  Good luck with that.

Wittman’s credentials as a losing coach are unimpeachable.
