I can't remember where (probably just a link on HoopsHype), but the rumor is that Seattle is interested in taking Hibbert with their late first round pick.
That would suck for the Wolves. That would put both Greg Oden and Roy Hibbert in our division. I still think that Hibbert will be a very solid pro. I also think he would compliment Big Al perfectly. He's able to bang down low and help Big Al clean the boards, but he's also able to step out, opening up the middle for Big Al. He's also proven throughout his college career that he's more than willing to do the dirty work and not focus on his own stats. Not to mention, he would demand the defensive attention of the opposing teams center just based on size alone, thus making Big Al's job on the offensive end a little easier (he had a hard time with larger centers this last year).
In my mind, the perfect draft day would have us nabbing Beasley with the 3rd pick and then finding some way to move up and get Hibbert. Combine that with signing O'Bryant and I would be extremely happy.
That would only leave the lingering question of whether or not Foye will be able to step up and become the PG that they need him to become. But I believe that he can. Also, with a Foye/McCants backcourt combo, I think they are both prolific enough that a pure PG isn't as big a necessity. Both of them are able to create for themselves and others.
IMO, the only glaring weakness if the above moves are made would be the profound weakness at the head coach position.
