On reviewing the video and profile, I think he reminds me a lot of a raw KG. Tall guy who can shoot but not really do much inside. His length is quite ridiculous though and I would be willing to take a chance on him with a mid-to-late first rounder.
The good thing is that he doesn't need to do much inside, at least not offensively. With that kind of length and coordination all he's got to do is fight for some boards (which he seems to like to do), challenge shots and knock down a J or two and he'd immediately be better than any big not named Al on our team. He did seem to show some good touch near the hoop, evidenced by that nifty dropstep lefty finish. Combine that with his ability to hit a turnaround and he might be one of the better fits out there to put next to Al. Definitely needs some weight in a BIG way, but not as much as you'd think given his insane length.
Agree ... his jumpers will be unstoppable if he can hit them in real game situations. His combo of height/length, athleticism and shot mechanics make it really hard to challenge his jumpshots. Also then he could be used alongside Al to stretch the defense a bit.
And with his skillset, I wonder if he needs to put on more than 15-20 lbs because you don't want him to lose what I perceive as an advantage versus other big men. He already has such length that he can rebound and block shots effectively without adding a ton of muscle. His length can also make up for bad positioning.
All in all, intriguing prospect and as long as we can get Mayo here, I think it's OK to swing for the fences on a guy like this with your later selection(s).
