    Miami / Portland

Miami trades: Michael Beasley and Daequan Cook

Portland trades: Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez, Martell Webster, Channing Frye and 2009 1st pick

Miami - gets a lot of young talent for Beasley and some Spanish players.

PG Sergio - Chalmers - Banks
    SG Wade - Fernandez
    SF Martell / Wright
    PF Marion - Haslem
    C Frye - Blount - Anthony

Portland - puts out a crazy young lineup for years to come.

PG Bayless - Blake - FA
SG Roy - Cook / Batum
SF Beasley - Outlaw - Batum
PF Aldridge - Beasley - Diogu
    C Oden - Przybilla - Lafrentz

I'd have to think that Miami would easily pass.

They'd give up Beasley in a package for a premier PG (Felton or Hinrich at the very least) or big man in the league of Elton Brand. Not for a bunch of spare parts and role players.

    Ya, now I'm thinking Aldridge.

Miami trades: Michael Beasley and Daequan Cook

Portland trades: Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez, Martell Webster and Lamarcus Aldridge

wow is Beasly that much better than Aldridge? if Portlands willi nto give up Aldridge, LA would easily give up Odom/Walton or Odom/Radmanovic for him

Obviously. But that's a lot of salary. Beasley's on a rookie contract, and I highly doubt Miami would be interested in Walton or Radman. Odom isn't going to get Beasely. Maybe Marion.

Ya, actually, I was going to start a Marion to Portland thread just now and saw this thread.  :P

The Blazers have too many PG's and Miami only has Chalmers and Quinn.  Lafrentz is a big expiring contract.

Miami trades: Shawn Marion, Alexander Johnson and David Padgett

Portland trades: Raef Lafrentz, Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez and Ike Diogu

    Portland
PG Bayless - Blake - Koponnen
    SG Roy - Martell
SF Marion - Outlaw - Batum
PF Aldridge - Marion - Johnson
    C Oden - Przybilla - Padgett

    Miami
PG Sergio / Chalmers - Quinn
SG Wade - Cook - Fernandez
SF Wright - Fernandez - Beasley
PF Beasley - Haslem - Diogu
    C Blount - Anthony - Lafrentz

    Great deal for Portland.

Good deal for Miami, but I think much better options are available.

Do you think Miami would prefer those players over Hinrich though? Seems like a pretty unspectacular package. Marion for Hinrich + whatever would probably be an easy deal for Chicago to make because of their contract situation alone. Especially since things with Deng aren't looking so great.

Even if not Hinrich, I think Miami can get better pieces than Sergio and Rudy.

Hmmmm, maybe swap Batum for Cook and Portland adds a 2nd pick?

Miami trades: Shawn Marion, Alexander Johnson, David Padgett and Daequan Cook

Portland trades: Raef Lafrentz, Sergio Rodriguez, Rudy Fernandez, Ike Diogu, Nicolas Batum and 2009 2nd pick

    Portland
PG Bayless - Blake - Koponnen
SG Roy - Martell - Cook
SF Marion - Outlaw - Martell
PF Aldridge - Marion - Johnson
    C Oden - Przybilla - Padgett

    Miami
PG Sergio / Chalmers - Quinn
SG Wade - Fernandez - Wright
SF Wright - Batum - Beasley
PF Beasley - Haslem - Diogu
    C Blount - Anthony - Lafrentz

Miami looks younger and improves the talent to be developed instead of NBDL fringe players.

I meant Odom/Walton or Odom/Radmanovic for Aldridge + filler easy! if Portlands going to trade him away for a rookie

My response stands. The Lakers OBVIOUSLY do that deal, Odom won't get Beasely. That's a lot of salary... Portland's 'filler' is going to have to be a $12 mill + player... so basically Raef.

    HaHAHAH. Good one
    Even when winning is illogical.
Losing is still far from optional.
