    Nuggets/Rockets

The Nuggets get Rafer Alston, Shane Battier, Bobby Jackson, Luther Head, Rockets 2009 1st Rd. pick The Rockets get Allen Iverson and Linas Klieza Nuggets PG- Rafer Alston/Bobby Jackson/Anthony Carter/Chucky Atkins SG- Carmelo Anthony/Luther Head/Taurean Green SF- Shane Battier/J.R. Smith/Bobby Jones PF- Kenyon Martin/Chris Anderson C- Nene/Steven Hunter Rockets PG- Allen Iverson/Aaron Brooks/Steve Francis SG- Tracy McGrady/Brent Barry SF- Linas Klieza/Donte Greene/Steve Novak PF- Luis Scola/Carl Landry/Chuck Hayes C- Yao Ming/Dikembe Mutombo/Joey Dorsey Nuggets get cap room and puts them in a position where they have a glut of talented guards that they can package for a talented "big" to replace Marcus Camby. They get Shane Battier who would instantly become the best defender on the team, and anchor a less than stellar defense. Carmelo Anthony can slide down to the "2" position where he can consistently post up smaller "2" guards and has the height to shoot over them. Success would depend on Moves made to shore up the "pivot" positions. They get tough veterans that provide leadership and defense and it gives a team that routinely gets depleted with injuries a lot of depth without the extra price tag. Rockets get the final piece tho their puzzle to put them into the championship conversation. They lose an elite defender in Shane Battier but replaces him with up-and-coming but inconsistent offensive threat in Linas Klieza. Allen Iverson will be able to help Aaron Brooks develop Iverson-esque form and will be great mentor for him. The Rockets will lose a lot of defense but will probably become one of the top scoring teams in the league. They will have a good blend of youth and veterans that should reap a lot of success if the team can remain healthy. The winner of the trade would only be able to be decided by time. Iverson's best years are clearly behind him, but is more than capable. The Rockets are giving up their defensive nucleus that kept them in games when they could not score, And mix that defense with the offensive genius of George Carl and you may have a contender. The trade is both high risk- high reward for both teams especially if Denver can turn some of that backcourt depth into a solid starting center and move Nene back to the "4".
    Even when winning is illogical.
Losing is still far from optional.

    Re: Nuggets/Rockets

I don't see the Nuggets moving Klieza, they see him as threat- player in the making. And they have passed on other offers for him. We know H-town needs a spell at the C, and another high-caliber player to run with T-Mac would be great, but if that minor move Morey has been rumored to be talking about doesn't happen before the season I'm sure it'll go down before the trade dead-line, when teams want to move big contracts and/or players who don't fit their plans/plays. I hope Houston makes a wise move as Morey has been doing a good job as the GM and its only his first year.

What happened with Gerald Green? I mean we got him in the trade in Feb. and just let the kid go. Former Slam-Dunk Champ with hops and moves, young, athletic, and good reach. I mean lets be real, carrying/dragging L.Head,(hes lost a step),Novak (gets no min., nice outside touch)...Now we got another Greene, I hope we do keep him and let him grow in the system and get a chance to prove himself before the trigger is pulled.....40 points in your debut game (no matter who you faced) is still 40 points for your team, and a good performance.....

They waived Gerald Green to sign Mike Harris last year. He signed a non-guaranteed deal with the Mavs this offseason.
