I hope it's not just you and me Smile

I'm Walt, I've been a Wolves fan since the days of Pooh Richardson and Tyrone Corbin.

I'm sure the Wolves fans are in hiding right now.

Give it a couple years and this place should be hoppin'.

OTW here, been around for quite a few versions of the boards,  but post less and less each version!

Maybe the first win will bring others!

I'm still an Al Jefferson fan, if that counts.  Hey, what happened to Gerald Green out there?  He's getting DNPs while Jaric gets starts?  Green has too much potential for the Wolves to just let his contract expire without seeing what he can do on the floor.

    Re: Timberwolves fans roll call

Green seems to be in Whittman's doghouse. Report of the last game that Green played in was that he wasn't at all in synch with the other guys on the court. Best theory I've heard for playing the old guys over the young guys is that Whittman is trying to get the young guys to earn the right to play.

Wittman's chances of keeping his job aren't going to change much based on whether he wins 10 games or 15.  He needs to develop the young players he's got.  The Wolves are going to have to make decisions on whether to keep McCants and Green pretty soon.  You can't make those decisions wisely if you don't get to see the guys play.  Ryan Gomes is a smart player, but he's never going to be much better than he is now, and on a good team he'll never be more than a solid backup.  The Wolves need to see whether Green and McCants can play at a level where they could be starters on a good team, or they'll end up losing them for nothing.

If my memory serves correctly they extended McCants just before the season began, but did not extend Green.

    That is correct, Walt.

McCants was extended, as well as Foye...Green was not.
