I've had my issues with KG while he was still here and since, but I must admit, it was great to see him win. He was a little over the top, but when he mentioned "Sota", then hugged Bill Russell... I couldn't help but just feel happy for him.
For as much as I've voiced my displeasure about him not being able to "be the man" here in Minnesota, he fell into the perfect situation in Boston and was able to be #2 guy that he has always been. Paul Pierce is unarguably their #1 guy on that team and KG took his rightful spot as the teams #2 guy. That's what some of us have said he truly has been all along anyway.
Now, being able to be that great #2 guy, ala Scottie Pippen, he was able to get his ring. He is still, IMO, possibly the best all-around player to ever play the game and his heart can't be questioned.
Congrats to KG.
