As incredible as he is, I don't see any reason to have him when they already have James, Kobe, Paul, Deron, and Redd. IMO, they should have invited Mike Miller (or even Kapono) instead of Prince or Wade. They seem to be lacking deadly shooters. Is Prince really going to bring anything to the table if/when Boozer, Dwight, and James are logging minutes together?  

They don't need more shooting.  Melo and Lebron shot 58% and 62% from behind the international three point line last year.  Mike Miller was actually below the team average in three point field goal percentage at 38%(the team average was 47%)

Becuase he's a great player who can play both SG and PG, is more than capable from international 3 point range and is esentially as ungaurdable as Kobe?

I'd be more interested in an explanation of why Kidd is on the team when they already have Paul and Deron as PGs and Wade, Kobe and Lebron who are all able shot creators for other people as well.

How many games has Wade even played the last two seasons?  He is not the same player as he was when the 2004 Olympics happened. 

Kidd is on the team for veteran, pass first leadership at the point guard position.  Paul and Deron are sweet but they are still young. Kidd just provides some vet leadership and experience in tight game situations.

Its just that I think that Wade has mailed it in the last two seasons to help the Heat Tank the season.  Why have some guy that is injured on the Olympic team?  Makes no sense IMO.

You're exactly right that there is no point in having an injured player on the team.  What makes you think Wade is injured?  I'm pretty sure they check that kind of thing before they ask a player to be on the team, don't you?

 wade also was injured for the Tournament of the Americas. He's chronically injured, finished the season injured.  why do you think he is ready to play?

March 8th.  What makes you think that was for health reasons?  He probably missed a lot of games for the same reason Paul Pierce missed a lot last year.

When did Pierce want to "shut it down"?  It's more likely that the Celtics wanted to shut him down for a better draft pick.  Why wouldn't the Heat do the same?

And what does any shooting guard bring that Lebron/Kobe/Redd don't already bring?  Nothing.   Absolutely everything a team could ever need is covered by Kidd/Paul/Redd/Kobe/Lebron/Prince/Howard/Bosh.  There is your veteran leadership, athleticism, ball-handling, passing, outside shooting, slashing, low post presence, lock down defense, high post offense, rebounding and shot blocking right there.  There is nothing that the team does not have covered already.
 

 only one true center and Chandler would have been a better pick than wade if Dwight got in foul trouble.  he's faster and can run the floor too and finish well. I personally think he would be pretty good in international type of ball as a defensive minded Center. 

 Between Chandler and Wade, I would definitely choose Chandler.  i think Wade is there for endorsement and popularity IMO.   Again, he's sat out 60 games due to "injury" the last two years. 

Wade was brutally awkward on the 2004 Olympic team.

I have no idea why anyone would think the the injured, rusty Wade is any better than the 2004 model.

Horrible choice.  Needless.  There is no way this helps chemistry.
