    Bucks and Billups

Could the Bucks find a way to bring in Chauncey Billups? Milwaukee might be in the market for a more defensive-oriented point guard, and Hammond's old team has one on the market. Will Billups really be traded for T-Mac? What about Biedrins? If these options don't work out - and it's not looking good - do the Pistons have to move him to a team that's the next-best option in order to make room for Stuckey?

If I'm Detroit I look at it.

If I'm the Bucks do I want a 32 year old PG signed for 3 more years and 35 M. Redd, Jefferson Bogut and Billups would make 43 M COMBINED next year.

it would be the cost of making it to the playofs or even the 2nd round ... is it worth it ?  that team is pretty solid ,

    Billups

    Redd

    Jefferson

    Gadzuric

    Bogut

    thats a solid line-up

    1. Gadzuric as your starting PF? UHHHGGG

    2. Will that lineup do appreciably more than

    Williams

    Redd

    Jefferson

    CV

    Bogut (Gadzuric off the bench).

I honestly see only sligh improvment. Blillups could make a conference finals team into a Finals team but I don't see him making a non playoff team into a Conference Finals/Finals contender. Taht's a win now lineup but its not better than Boston or Philly or even the Cavs with LeBron.

Only way I would do it is if Billups also came along with or I could get in a related trade a PF of even a McDice level.

Billups,Redd,Jefferson,Dice Bogut still doesn't scream champ to me but I think if another top team gets injured they could sneak their way into the finals. Teir need to have a strong PF next to Bogut far outweight the need for a PG upgrade IMO.

Who would the Bucks be giving up for Billups?  I don't think CV and Williams would be enough to get a deal done for Detroit.

    Re: Bucks and Billups

$ Wise it would work (or close enough) I don't know how much more they can reasonably expect to get. Maybe a 1st round pick.

Now I'm not saying they are the same. Billups is obviously a better defeder, and has more experience but the stats of Mo and Chancy are almost dead on. PPG apg rpg etc so close its scary. Mo shoot a much better % than Billups last year. Couple that with Billups age and the fact that he's shot 40% 43% and 40% in the playoffs in the last 3 years respectivley says while Billups may be better the gap is not as big as someone who says Playoff MVP/All Star Billups vs Mo Williams might think.

CV is a pretty talented player and a legit starter on many teams. I just happen to not like him as a player very much. Too contact averse, terrible defender.  If Detroit is going to blow the team up and give stucky some real run then I would consider this trade if it included a first. If they are going to just try to swap out a couple of peices (maybe sheed?) and take one more shot at things then no I wouldn't do it.

Who are the bucks giving up again
    Even when winning is illogical.
Losing is still far from optional.
