    Trade Coming for Houston

Had a chance to catch up with someone who knows a lot about the inner workings of the NBA last night. Was told the story on Loren Woods, as told here:

     http://www.hoopsworld.com/Story.asp?story_id=9490

So now the Rockets are shopping for a back-up center to give them some insurance when Yao gets hurt and Mutombo can't play 20+ minutes.

The Landry thing is getting stick, too . . .things could get interesting.

    What about Jackie Butler?

Ouch! I'd be more inclined to say Tractor Traylor, who the Rockets are getting a look at here. Butler was raw . . .raw . . .raw.

Why isn't the Rockets FO looking at Adonal Foyle or Kwame Brown?

are the Rockets really looking to trade Joey Dorsey? I think it's a very bad idea since they haven't really had a chance to get a good look at this kid. I understand Luther Head, Chuck Hayes and Steve Novak....Luther seems to have lost his touch a little bit, he tends to think a little too much before he wants to do something with the ball. Chuck has no offense....and Steve I would hate to lose a sharp shooter, because I think his defense can be taught. I've seen Dorsey play a bit...I think he can be an upgrade from Hayes because he's a monster and he can finish at the rim like Landry. What do you think is going to happen?

They don't have the money to just sign anyone unless they use the MLE, which they're saving for Landry. I actually found out the real deal with Dorsey, which is that the Rockets are playing the tight pockets game with his agent. Dorsey's agent wants the same deal Novak got and he's not getting it. So there's a delay . . .which may or may not mean Dorsey's rights get traded in the rumored "minor deal."

Thank God they are not interested in signing Kwame Brown. Seriously, if we signed that vagina, I'd probably become a Blazer fan.

When you know the whole Kwame Brown story you can't help but feel the guy was a victim of a system that was not ready to prepare high school kids for pro ball, but regardless of the reason he's not someone we'd want in Houston.

Even with college development, he is a vagina.

Some people are just not aggressive. Kwame is one of those people. He is probably a transvestite or something.
