I did predict that George would never war a Raptor jersey. Nice that the useless george was translated into something of value. I expect Bosh to be traded for some Euro guy any day so the Raptors can become the all O npo D euroleague team. Calderon and Belinelli = wost defensive backout in the NBA.

If Belinelli is starting .. its not just the worst defensive backcourt ... its the worst defensive starting unit.  Although they could end up being the best passing team ..... at least until Bosh gets the ball.

But really looks like Toronto's building a team to outrun other teams.  They brought in guys with super athleticism in DeRozan and the other guy they got in the Delfino trade.  Amir Johnson's profile being a bigman who can run the floor and can shoot (dunno about low post game if any).

Don't know why anyone would call Sam "my boy". I never said he was the best coach in the world. I simply said SAM was not the problem. The PLAYERS were the problem. I was right.

1. The team record was worse and the team played worse after Sam left.

2. The team that was supposedly so much better than their record supposedly becuase of SAM's coaching lasted about 1/2 the season before BC admitted that JO was a mistake and traded him.

3.The team that was supposedly "GOOD" that SAM only coached to 1 game under 500 before he was fired was toally dismantled this offseason. They spent more money than almost anyone in the NBA adding a new starting SF, new SG,new backup PG.

If the teams biggest problem was the coach why all the changes? Nope SAM was not great. But he wasn;t the problem. JAy triano ceriainly was no solution.

He'll probaly find a job as an assistant if he wants to. Just like Mo Cheeks.

But if who is actually coaching in the NBA dictates who is the "bets coach" then apparently Scot Brooks is better than Avery Johnson,Doug Collins,etc Etc etc.

For the record Triano is likley neither worse nor any better than Mitchell. That's exactly the point. Sam was scapgoated for what was obviously a player issue (thus all the player movement). I expect that if the Raps fail to show the massive improvment that all the money they spent is suppose to bring Triano will become the scapegpat.

 

Johnson and Collins have broadcasting jobs because they have a wealth of information to share unlike Mitchell who will never broadcast. He'd have to look at the boxscore after every game and say "they were outrebounded and had a lot of turnovers. they have to crash the glass and take care of the ball."

What does that have to do with Mitchell coaching. He'd be a terrible broacaster. Frankley I think Avery Johnson is a terrible broadcaster. Doug Collins is not half bad but I personally don't think he's all that great a coach. His lifespan is about 2 years max with any team before he implodes.

 

Player movement? Sam was supposedly canned becuase he couldn't get the team to play to their "potential". So they canned him and what happened? Their record was WORSE. So much for the teams potential. That team that supposedly underachived because of SAM was totally dismanteled. Its obvious even BC admitted JO didn't work out.

ya supposedly genius. what do you know? BC worked with the guy every freakin day and watched how he developed players and coached but somehow you know the inner workings of the team better, so good your not even sure why he was fired. For all we know Sam could have gone on a 50 game losing streak if triano didnt come in. Sending a guy home with big cheques doesnt do BC ONE BIT OF GOOD. He did it to better the development of the team. And he signed him on this year for the team, he didnt fire him because his record wasnt as good as sams that would be stupid.

Sam sucked, face it.

 You know its a long off season when you have two guys arguing over a guy who's no longer with the team ..... for no reason.

Will the season start already????   ...... summers ending, and its starting to get boring!!!!!
